Buffalo Sabres forward Patrick Kaleta dropped the gloves for a first period fight in Ottawa on Monday night. Not only did Kaleta have to deal with a barrage of punches from his opponent, Senators defenseman Jared Cowen, but also had to fight off his own fists as well.
For some reason or another, Kaleta’s wires seemed to get crossed during the bout and he wound up delivering a solid punch straight to his own head. I’m not really sure how that happens, but maybe he was trying to psych Cowen out or something? Either way, it was hilarious to watch.
Something tells me Kaleta is going to hear about this from his teammates.
