Here’s a pretty bush league lowlight from an OHL game between the London Knights and Windsor Spitfires on Tuesday. That’s Knights’ goaltender (and 2012 Philadelphia Flyers draft pick) Anthony Stolarz slashing Spitfires player Josh Ho-Sang in the back of the head.
Stolarz was only given a two-minute penalty for high sticking as a result of the incident (Ho-Sang received two for slashing Stolarz’s pads as well). No word yet on any supplemental discipline, but he should receive a suspension for this.
Update: Stolarz has received an eight game suspension from the OHL as a result of the incident.
