In an email sent out to the season ticket holders on Wednesday, the Nashville Predators mistakenly referred to their team as the “Perds.” While the team is typically called the “Preds,” this typo has given way to a new team nickname, and the internet is eating it right up. The email reads:
Perhaps the best part about this, aside from the fact that there are already “Go Perds!” t-shirts and banners available for purchase, is the follow-up email that the team sent out addressing the issue:
Maybe they oughta officially change their name to the Pawnee Perds. I can think of an excellent mascot.
