The NHL’s all-time winningest goaltender is calling it quits and moving to the front office.
Martin Brodeur will join the St. Louis Blues front office after appearing in seven games for the team this season following an outrageous 21 years with the New Jersey Devils.
As reported by ESPN, Brodeur decided it was time to hang up the skates following a brief break this season after Blues starting goalie Brian Elliott returned from injury. The 4-time winner of the Vezina Trophy and 10-time All-Star appeared in 1,266 games since entering the league during the 1991-92 season. He leaves the NHL with a record of 691-397 and can lay claim to three Stanley Cups (1995, 2000 and 20003).
He was drafted 20th overall by the Devils in the 1990 draft and will leave the game with a 2.24 goals against average and .912 save percentage.
