There are lucky bounces, and then there’s what Kris Versteeg had on his goal Tuesday night.
During the second period of the Hurricanes’ game against the Penguins, Versteeg’s shot tipped off Sidney Crosby’s stick, hit the glass over Pittsburgh’s net, fell onto Marc-Andre Fleury’s back, and went straight into the net for the goal to put Carolina up 2-0.

Versteeg’s extraordinarily bizarre goal was the difference as Carolina went on to hold off Pittsburgh 3-2.
