Josh Gorges doesn’t play goalie but the Canadiens defenseman made one of the crazier saves of the Eastern Conference Finals during Game 3 on Thursday night. During an odd-man rush, Gorges was able to deny Martin St. Louis with a glove stop on a first period one-timer. St. Louis certainly didn’t get his best shot off, but it was a seriously beautiful stop by a skater nonetheless.

Unfortunately for Gorges and the Canadiens, Carl Hagelin was able to bury the puck into the back of the net on its way down (thanks in part to a lackluster defensive effort from Thomas Vanek) and put the Rangers up 1-0.
