Jonathan Quick has a bit of a temper. If you didn’t know this already, you were reminded of it on Thursday night.
The Kings goaltender had his latest temper tantrum during the second period of Thursday’s game against the Calgary Flames and his goalie stick paid the ultimate price. Quick felt that he was interfered with on the Flames’ go-ahead goal in the middle frame and, to be fair, he may have had a point. Calgary’s Curtis Glencross was right on top of Quick as he attempted to track the puck on a barrage of shots from Flames forwards. Eventually, one snuck by him and Quick looked to the referees for an interference call that never came.
That’s when his stick saw a brutal and untimely death:
Jon Quick is a pretty scary man when he’s angry.
