Just last week, an agreement was reached between the NHL and the IIHF that will allow NHL players to participate in the 2014 Sochi Olympics. Following this agreement, Hockey Canada has released the 47-man roster for Olympic orientation camp which will be held August 25-28 in Calgary, AB. Here is the official list of invites via hockeycanada.ca:
*- Won gold with Canada at the 2010 Olympic Winter Games
#- Played for Canada at the 2006 Olympic Winter Games
With all of the talent on this roster, some difficult cuts will need to be made. The Team USA orientation camp roster is expected to be released later today.
