Tonight, the Pittsburgh Penguins and the Tampa Bay Lightning are playing a preseason game at the arena that one this past year’s Kraft Hockeyville USA contest in Johnstown, Pa. The arena that received the face-lift is the same arena that was the setting of the classic hockey movie, Slap Shot.
In the spirit of that movie, Penguins’ star forward Evgeni Malkin donned a pair of glasses identical to the ones worn by the Hanson brothers in the film. It’s a really cool nod to the arena’s past.
