The Blues entered their final game of the season needing a win plus an Anaheim loss to clinch the Western Conference’s best record and home ice advantage throughout the playoffs. Unfortunately for them, they were facing the league’s hottest team over the last two months in the Minnesota Wild and the Ducks were playing the less than intimidating Coyotes.
However, many things went the way of the Blues on Saturday, including somehow making Devan Dubnyk look human and also getting an incredible stick save from Brian Elliott.
