Carolina Hurricanes forward Alex Semin scored a pretty amazing highlight reel goal during Sunday’s game against the Oilers, sliding a no-look shot past Edmonton goalie Richard Bachman while lying on his stomach. It was an awesome display of creativity – one that also probably involved quite a bit of luck – and it caught Bachman offguard, giving Semin his fourth goal on the season.
The highlight was also the first of six unanswered goals from the ‘Canes, who overcame a 3-0 deficit to beat Edmonton 7-4. That’s certainly one way to provide a spark.
