Predators fans weren’t thrilled – celebrities included – about a no-goal call that ultimately cost the team from tying Tuesday’s game against the Florida Panthers with 0.6 seconds on the clock. One passionate fan was so upset, he sent the league office in Toronto a dead catfish.
Why a catfish? Well, much like the Detroit Red Wings throwing a dead octopus on the ice, the Predators have adopted throwing catfish. Why Toronto? That’s where the NHL office – aka the decision makers on the no-goal – are located.
I mean, I’m not seeing goalie interference here. What was that? #Preds tie it with 0.5 seconds left and get it waived off. Wow. pic.twitter.com/fQvArRcs7c

As Briley Meeks wrote on their Facebook page, she spent $7.25 on the catfish and more than $134.50 to send it from Nashville from Toronto.
In my humble opinion, the goal should have been waved off as the call was correct. Fans in Nashville thought otherwise. Is it worth nearly $150 to send a dead fish to a league office who will almost instantly throw it out? Probably not. But, at least the Preds’ fan got her piece in – even if she could have spent the money better elsewhere.
