Over the past several months, Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift began dating and instantly emerged as the most famous and popular power couple on the planet all while Kelce and his Kansas City Chiefs were in the middle of an NFL football season. And as one coach points out, it certainly wasn’t easy on the star tight end.
During a recent interview, Kansas City Chiefs offensive coordinator Matt Nagy addressed the stress that the new relationship brought to Kelce as he tried his best to juggle his busy schedule with a new and very high-profile relationship with Nagy admitting that it “had to be hard” for Travis Kelce especially when the Chiefs were struggling in the middle of the season.
“There were certain times there where it got really big. It was never brought up in meetings,” offensive coordinator Matt Nagy said according to ESPN. “But I know internally it had to be hard. Because for him to be a leader and help run this offense, especially when we were going through what we were going through and struggling a little bit, as successful as we’ve been, he did a great job of rallying through it.”
Obviously, Kelce was able to handle the stress and the pressure and help lead the Chiefs to the Super Bowl all while having the love and support from Taylor Swift.
