This week, Kansas City Chiefs star tight end Travis Kelce signed a two-year contract extension with the team that made him the highest-paid player in the league at his position. And he is nothing but grateful to be in that position.
During the most recent edition of his New Heights podcast that he does with his brother Jason, Travis Kelce expressed his gratitude to the Kansas City Chiefs, saying that he is “extremely grateful.” He is also happy to have helped grow the tight end position in terms of positional value.
“I’m so excited and so thankful to this organization for getting it done, making me feel appreciated and compensated the right way and on top of that I got to move the needle for the tight end room,” Kelce said on the podcast according to Pro Football Talk. “It’s everyone else’s job to keep making that tight end AAV go up and up with every single contract that’s better than mine in the future.”
It’s certainly been a great few months for Kelce as he began dating pop sensation Taylor Swift, won a Super Bowl, and now gets new contract with a significant pay raise.
It sounds like he’s living the dream.
