The Denver Broncos pulled one of the upsets of the 2023 regular season on Sunday when they defeated the reigning Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs, 24-9.
Broncos quarterback Russell Wilson only completed 12 of his 19 pass attempts for 114 yards but he threw three touchdowns and zero interceptions as the Broncos won in front of their home fans.
Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes by contrast completed 24 of his 38 passing attempts for 241 yards and two interceptions.
Mahomes’ struggles extended to tight end Travis Kelce, who finished the game with six receptions for 58 yards and no touchdowns.
Thankfully for Kelce, his new girlfriend, pop icon Taylor Swift, wasn’t in attendance as she readies herself for yet another tour with the first stop coming on Nov. 9th in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
During the Broncos–Chiefs broadcast, CBS made note of Kelce’s apparent struggles without his beau watching in the stands.
The broadcast flashed a graphic ntoign Kelce averaged 108 reception yards with Swif in the stadium compared to only 46.5 when she was absent.

Those numbers could spell trouble for the Chiefs as it’s almost assured Swift will be unable to attend any games in the foreseeable future as she tours around the world for her legions of adoring fans.
