This week, Tom Brady caused quite a stir when he said that he was “not opposed” to the possibility of returning to the NFL if a playoff team called him toward the end of the season needing a quarterback for a postseason run. Obviously, those comments caused a frenzy among fans and media, and he leaned into it a bit on social media.
Shortly after the comments from Tom Brady began to circulate online, the New England Patriots shared an old photo of Brady and his long hair on their social media channels.
Brady took the opportunity to have a little fun, joking that he would “unretire” if the post got 50k likes, but he had “unretire” crossed out and replaced with “grow it back out.”
50k likes and i'll u̶n̶r̶e̶t̶i̶r̶e̶ grow it back out 😂😂😂 @vicblends @nobull https://t.co/TwVk24szVO

Obviously, it does not seem at all likely that Brady will come out of retirement after he hasn’t played football in over a year, but it doesn’t seem like Brady is going to stop leaning into the possibility that he could if he wanted to.
Brady has continued to keep himself in top physical condition and even ran the 40-yard dash faster this year than he did entering the NFL in his early 20s.
