Earlier this month, a report claimed that Gisele Bündchen blamed ex-husband Tom Brady for her fizzling relationship with jiu-jitsu instructor Joaquim Valente after the Netflix roast of Tom Brady featured many jokes about Brady, Gisele, and Valente. But it sounds like Brady is refusing to accept that blame.
According to a report from The Daily Mail, an inside source claims that Tom Brady is not willing to accept responsibility for Gisele’s failing relationship with her new romance, saying her attempts to blame him are a “total cop out” and that he would never “sabotage” her love life.
“Tom feels like he should take no blame for Gisele’s relationship successes or struggles,” a source told the Daily Mail this week. “He is away from it and isn’t trying to sabotage anything.
“He needs to live his life and co-parent and get to a place with Gisele that is healthy and happy,” the source continued. “It serves him nothing to try to harm or disrupt any type of relationship she ever has. He doesn’t feel he should be blamed at all.”
The source points out that in adult relationships, everyone is responsible for their own actions and it’s not fair to blame someone else when things don’t work out.
“At the end of the day, everyone is an adult and you’re going to have to deal with relationships, whether they go good or bad by taking it day by day,” the source said. “You can’t blame others for what might not be working, it is a cop-out to put the blame on Tom.”
This all comes after a report from Radar Online that Gisele’s relationship with Valente was fading as a result of all of the negative attention they were receiving.
“The spotlight was too much for him,” a source told Radar Online. “Joaquim’s a regular guy. He’s not used to all the attention he was getting.”
According to the report, Gisele blamed Brady for her fizzling relationship with Valente after the jiujitsu instructor was the subject of many jokes during the recent Netflix roast. He and Gisele were not at all happy about it.
“Joaquim became part of the joke. People actually started asking him if he was the reason for their divorce. He hated that,” the source told Radar Online. “She blames the break on Tom. By agreeing to do the roast, he basically put a target on Joaquim’s back.”
But clearly, Brady is not willing to accept that responsibility.
