Tom Brady has seriously considered playing for the Miami Dolphins at least once already.
Although that time, it led to Miami losing a first-round draft pick, over $1 million, and a suspension for their owner. Luckily, or unluckily depending on how you look at it, the Dolphins don’t have to worry about that again.
Brady’s return to the league and possible future with the Dolphins was brought up again after the Dolphins’ starting quarterback Tua Tagovailoa suffered another terrifying head injury in a game against the Buffalo Bills on Thursday night.
Adam Schefter, a prominent league insider and draft expert, was asked about Brady unretiring and joining the Dolphins to make one last run at the Super Bowl with Miami’s blazing speed on the perimeter.
Schefter shot the idea down pretty fast.
“I know a lot of people suggested Tom Brady, bringing him out of retirement — that’s not gonna happen,” Schefter said.
Brady has come out of retirement once and admitted that if the situation was right he’d put the pads on again, but it doesn’t look like Miami is the right fit for the legendary quarterback.
For now, he’ll continue to work from the broadcast booth for Fox, where he’s scheduled to call the upcoming game between the Dallas Cowboys and Baltimore Ravens.
