The Eagles released 22 guys to get their roster down to 52 players, making the 4:00 PM EST deadline.
Among those roster cuts, was quarterback Tim Tebow. But there’s apparently no hard feelings judging by his tweet to the Eagles and coach Chip Kelly after the announcement was made.
Thanks @Eagles and Coach Kelly for giving me the opportunity to play the game I love!

After QB Matt Barkley was shipped off to the Cardinals, it looked like Tebow had a real shot at making the roster. It doesn’t really matter though. He most likely wouldn’t have been very good or played much at all. Still, it would have been exciting to see Tebow Time come to fruition.
Philadelphia’s roster also currently stands one guy short of the 53 player limit. There could be another quarterback acquisition in the near future.
