NFL Hall of Fame wide receiver Terrell Owens was lucky to escape serious bodily harm Monday night.

According to a report from TMZ, Owens got into an argument with a man while playing in a pickup game of basketball in the Calabasas neighborhood of Los Angeles.

The argument grew so heated that, after the game, “the man who had been beefing with the NFL legend got into his car … and drove the vehicle right into the former wide receiver’s knee.”

Cops told the celebrity gossip outlet that Owens, somewhat miraculously, didn’t require medical attention.

The police filed a report for assault with a deadly weapon, but as of late Tuesday morning, no arrests in the case have been made.

The investigation is ongoing, according to TMZ.

Also noted by the outlet, Owens is no stranger to bizarre incidents like this since retiring from the league.
