The Kansas City Chiefs are set to hold a parade on Wednesday to celebrate their Super Bowl LVIII win over the San Francisco 49ers. But as they plan for the big celebration, it sounds like Taylor Swift could be causing some concerns.
During a recent interview with KCUR about the Chiefs’ upcoming victory parade on Wednesday, Kansas City Manager Brian Platt spoke about the possibility that Taylor Swift could make an appearance at the parade as he discussed the security challenges and problems created with even the possibility that she could show up.
“That’s gonna be a whole second level of security issues that we have to deal with — the crowds and all that sort of thing,” Platt said. “So we are more than ready. We have no concerns with our safety protocols and what we’re doing to make sure that the route will be free of any issues.”
But while he wouldn’t say definitively one way or another whether or not she will be at the parade, it does sound like they might have politely asked her to stay away.
“I can’t confirm or deny but we might have already told that to her team, just to keep everybody safe and make things a little bit easier for us,” Platt said.
We’ll have see if she does attend and how the city handles it if she does.
