Ever since she began dating Kansas City Chiefs superstar tight end Travis Kelce, Taylor Swift has thoroughly embraced her football fandom, attending 13 Chiefs’ games throughout the season including the Super Bowl. And based on her social media activity this weekend, it seems like she approves of the team’s first-round pick.
On Thursday night, the Kansas City Chiefs selected Texas Longhorns wide receiver Xavier Worthy with the No. 28 overall pick in the draft. A few hours after the pick was made, the Chiefs shared a video of Worthy’s reaction to being selected by the Chiefs as he celebrated with his family with a massive smile.
“The moment @worthyyy became a Kansas City Chief,” the team wrote on Instagram in the caption of the video, adding a heart emoji.
The video quickly went viral on social media, and one very important person “liked” the video: Taylor Swift herself.
It’s not clear whether or not Swift’s “like” was due to the heartwarming nature of the video or because she’s happy that the team got an exciting new player – or perhaps both.
But regardless, this seems to indicate that Swift was paying attention to the draft and that she approves of the team’s selection.
