Russell Wilson wants big money guaranteed in his next contract, and the two-time Super Bowl starting quarterback is expected to make that money somewhere — if not with the Seahawks, then with some other team. But even with tens of millions of dollars on the line, Wilson’s not afraid to get a physical playing a little cornerback at his own Passing Academy.
With their physical gifts, a lot of players in the NFL can naturally switch between positions. Richard Sherman started out as a wide receiver and made the switch to cornerback while he was playing at Stanford. But Wilson doesn’t look too comfortable out on the field defending passes. Whether it was because he got beat or because he didn’t want to risk injury, he should definitely stick to throwing the balls.
