Former Buffalo Bills offensive lineman Richie Incognito was arrested on Monday and charged with disorderly conduct and threats.
According to ProFootballTalk, Incognito was involved in an incident at an Arizona Funeral Home. Incognito, who lost his father this weekend, allegedly threatened staff with “gun gestures” and made them feel “incredibly uncomfortable.”
“Per a source with knowledge of the situation, Incognito allegedly created a disturbance by “acting erratically and making the employees feel incredibly uncomfortable” while handling arrangements for his late father. Incognito allegedly made a gun gesture toward one of the employees, and he said that he has guns in his truck.
According to the source, weapons were indeed in his truck, and the weapons were impounded.”
Incognito, who’s currently a free agent, is clearly battling some personal demons mixed with the fact he just lost his father. In no situation should he be uttering threats like what’s alleged, but it’s hard not to feel for him. Grieving isn’t easy, especially when dealing with other serious issues.
Hopefully, Incognito finds the help he needs.
