ESPN’s Jacked Up segment only lasted a few years but they were a gloriously epic few years. The massive sports network pulled the plug on the clips that showed NFL players getting their faces blown off but not before giving us one of the more entertaining segments in the network’s history.
Although the series is missed, it was clearly a good move on their part considering the overwhelming number of studies being released into the short and long-term effects of repeated blows to the head. However, football remains a very violent game and everyone knew how to appreciate a good, (sometimes) clean hit. Take a trip down memory lane in honor of Throwback Thursday and remember the beauty that was Jacked Up.
