Peyton Manning seems like one of the nicer guys in the NFL, so it’s tough to picture him dishing out any harsh trash talk to his opponents.
In fact, he admits that trash talking isn’t exactly his thing. Manning explained to CNN’s Rachel Nichols that he usually lets his teammates handle that aspect of the game, and he gave his trash-talking abilities a pretty honest rating.
“I’d say not strong to quite not strong, if that makes any sense,” Manning said. “It’s not really something I do a lot of. I would probably say I’m in the amateur phase compared to an Aqib Talib or an Emmanuel Sanders. Those guys are probably our top-two trash talkers out there on the field. I’m low on the totem pole in that category.”
Manning usually lets his play do the talking, so it’s not that big of a deal. Still, we’d love to get him mic’d up so we can hear some of his amateur trash-talking attempts, which are probably hilarious.
