The Kansas City Chiefs struggled to move the ball through the air at times last season, particularly to their wide receivers. But it sounds like quarterback Patrick Mahomes is pleased with some of the new additions the team has made to help address that issue.
During an interview on The Pat McAfee Show on Thursday, Patrick Mahomes made it clear that he is quite happy about the new additions of free agent wide receiver Hollywood Brown, rookie wide receiver Xavier Worthy and rookie tight end Jared Wiley.
“I’m excited,” Mahomes said according to Pro Football Talk. “Hollywood’s been making plays all week long since we started OTAs, practicing against the defense. Seeing X-Man running, how fast he is, and then adding to guys like Rashee and Travis, and the tight end we got, Wiley, and Noah Gray. It’s cool to have weapons. It’s cool to have these guys out there that want to go out there and be great. . . . I think we’re going to be a hard team to beat when the season comes around.”
We’ll have to see how the Chiefs’ passing offense looks this upcoming season after these key additions on the offensive side of the ball.
