The Kansas City Chiefs brought in a new weapon at wide receiver this offseason, signing former Arizona Cardinals star wide receiver Marquise “Hollywood” Brown in free agency this offseason. And it sounds like Patrick Mahomes is quite happy to have a player of his caliber in the offense.
During a recent press conference, Patrick Mahomes did not hold back his praise for Hollywood Brown as he said “the sky is the limit” for what he could mean to the team’s offense this season.
“He can run those over the middle routes, he can run really good [shorter] routes and he can run deep,’’ Mahomes said according to ESPN. “It’s not like fast is the only thing that he can do and you’ve seen that kind of really kind of transpire over these last few days of practice and he keeps getting better and better. You just see the speed that we have and how it’s opening up everybody and then even seeing Rashee [Rice] and how he’s taken that next step. It is a great group that all mesh well together and so I’m excited for their future. The sky is the limit.’’
The Chiefs have not exactly had particularly dominant play at the wide receiver position since the departure of Tyreek Hill. We’ll have to see if that improves this season.
