Carolina Panthers return man Brenton Bersin made a bizarre attempt to field a Cardinals punt late in the first quarter.
Instead of owning the return or backing off and allowing it to bounce, Bersin elected to slide timidly toward the bouncing ball. The result? Arizona recovered and immediately scored to trim Carolina’s lead.
