Ohio State vs. Michigan Syndication: The Columbus Dispatch

The college football rivalry between the Ohio State Buckeyes and the Michigan Wolverines is one of the fiercest rivalries in all sports. Ohio State defensive tackle Mike Hall and Michigan offensive guard Zak Zinter were in the thick of that rivalry the past few years, but now they’ll be joining forces with the Cleveland Browns. And it sounds like they’re excited about it.

Mike Hall was selected by the Cleveland Browns in the second round while the team selected Zak Zinter in the third round. And after years of competing against each other at the highest level in the fierce rivalry, they will now be on the same team. And both players said they are now “brothers.”

“Being my rival throughout my career and finally being teammates here, it’s crazy,” Zinter said according to Daniel Oyefusi of ESPN. “I’m going to be seeing him day in and day out. But we’re brothers now and it’s all about that.”

“I would just say first off, ‘The Game,’ in itself, (the school) up north and Ohio State rivalry is insane from day one,” Hall said according to the Akron Beacon Journal. “Whenever you attend these prestigious colleges, that’s the main goal.

“But being my rival, my three years throughout my career, then finally being teammates, yeah, it’s crazy to see him in the building. I’m going to be seeing him day in and day out. But we’re brothers now and it’s all about that.”

We’ll have to see how their relationship blossoms at the NFL level.
