Dak Prescott Tim Heitman-USA TODAY Sports

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott has taken a lot of criticism over the years from fans and media. And teammate Micah Parsons went to some pretty insane lengths to defend his quarterback recently.

During a recent conversation with Stephen A. Smith, Micah Parson defended Dak Prescott from criticism and went as far as to suggest that Patrick Mahomes is the only quarterback in the AFC that should get more credit than Prescott.

“Besides Patrick Mahomes, what other quarterback in the AFC has accomplished anything to get more credit than Dak?” Parsons asked.

Smith responded by suggesting Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen, as he’s taken his team deeper in the playoffs consistently. But Parsons did not seem to think that matters.

“It doesn’t matter how far you get. If you’re going home and you don’t have a ring, it doesn’t matter,” Parsons responded. “If you are not the Super Bowl champion, it does not matter what you have accomplished … if you do not win the big one, it does not matter … I’m not giving participation.”

Obviously, these comments led to a lot of reactions on social media.

It’s certainly an interesting way to look at it for Parsons, but it’s pretty clear that not many others agree.
