The Las Vegas Raiders made it very clear that they intended to bring in at least one new quarterback this offseason as the team looks for its full-time starter, and it sure didn’t take them long to come to terms with one veteran option.

According to a report from NFL insider Tom Pelissero of the NFL Network, the Las Vegas Raiders have come to terms with veteran quarterback Gardner Minshew to a two-year deal.

“Compensation update: The #Raiders are signing QB Gardner Minshew to a two-year, $25 million deal that includes $15M fully guaranteed, per sources. Strong money for their potential 2024 starting QB,” Pelissero wrote in a post on X, the social media website that was formerly known as Twitter.

Mishew has started 37 games throughout his NFL career, including 13 games with the Indianapolis Colts last season. So he brings a veteran presence who will compete with Aidan O’Connell for the team’s starting quarterback role.

Obviously, this is some pretty significant news around the league, and it led to a lot of reactions on social media as a result.

Even after signing Minshew, it’s not immediately clear who the team’s starter will be this season or beyond. But Minshew certainly gives them options.
