Over the past several years, Lamar Jackson has solidified himself as one of the top players in the entire league, winning two MVP Awards. But he has not yet been able to reach his ultimate goal of winning a Super Bowl with the Baltimore Ravens.
“Patience is the key,” Jackson said according to the Baltimore Ravens team website. “Only a few quarterbacks have won a Super Bowl in the last few years. A lot of people haven’t won. I’m focusing on me, and I want that real bad. I’m just focusing on what I can control and go from there.”
But that doesn’t mean that winning a Super Bowl isn’t still his biggest goal.
“That’s been the first check box for me since 2018,” Jackson said. “April 26, whenever I was drafted, I said that, and I meant that. But this is the highest level of this game we play. You’ve got to go out a champion, and that’s what I want to be labeled, as a champion, not just MVP here and there. I want to be a champion.”
Jackson has already established himself as one of the most talented and dominant playmakers in the game. We’ll have to see if that talent is enough to push the Ravens to the league’s top crown.
