Josh Allen Josh Allen

In the third quarter of Monday’s Wild Card round win over the Pittsburgh Steelers, Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen made the play of the game when he turned what looked like it would be a 10-yard scrambling into a 52-yard touchdown. It was an incredible play, but it didn’t exactly surprise one of his teammates.

Josh Allen weaved past defenders and outran several players on his way to the end zone, which is not something you typically see a quarterback do, but Buffalo Bills tight end Dawson Knox said that those sort of plays have kind of become expected for Allen these days.

“It’s almost normal now,” Knox said according to the Buffalo Bills team website. “Him making a crazy play like that almost every single game. Sometimes you just can’t help but just to sit back and be a fan.”

The play gave the Bills a 21-0 lead in the third quarter and ultimately proved pretty pivotal as the Steelers came roaring back to make the score 24-17 at the beginning of the fourth quarter.

We’ll have to see if Allen can continue to make plays like that this week when they take on the Kansas City Chiefs at home.
