Every year, the NFL Players Association puts together a report card for each team based on surveys from players. The Los Angeles Chargers scored particularly poorly when it came to the category of “food/cafeteria,” but it doesn’t sound like superstar edge Joey Bosa is all that happy about the survey.
While the food/cafeteria situation may have received an “F” grade on the survey, Joey Bosa quickly came to their defense. While Bosa does not eat most meals in the cafeteria since he has a personal chef to make sure his own nutrition is what it needs to be, he made it clear that he has a lot of respect for the cafeteria staff because they “work their butts off.”
“I’ll eat here sometimes,” Bosa told Sarah Barshop of ESPN. “It may not be the best setup, but they’ll prepare you food that’s plenty good. . . . They work harder than literally anybody in the entire facility. So they may not have the best means back there, but they freaking work their butts off, and that survey is not cool, man.”
While the cafeteria situation was clearly a popular complaint among the players, Bosa seems to think that the staff bear no responsibility for the bad grade.
