The Cincinnati Bengals offense will look a bit different this year with running back Joe Mixon now with the Houston Texans and wide receiver Tyler Boyd now with the Tennesee Titans. But given the team’s wealth of weapons, quarterback Joe Burrow seems to think the team could be even more dynamic and versatile.
During a recent press conference, Joe Burrow made it clear that he thinks the offense will be able to attack opposing defences in a variety of ways given their variety of playmakers.
“With the personnel we have this year, we’ll be able to do a lot more with personnel groupings,” Burrow said this week according to the Cincinnati Bengals website. “Putting different people in different spots . . . And doing a lot of different things as far as eye candy and making teams adjust their personnel based on ours.”
The Bengals signed running back Zack Moss and tight end Mike Gesicki during free agency and selected wide receiver Jermaine Burton in the third round of the draft back in April. Those skill players will join superstar wide receivers Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins as well as dynamic running back Chase Brown.
Burrow clearly thinks this roster will be able to attack teams in a number of ways. We’ll have to see if he’s right.
