All Giovanni Bernard wanted to do was run out of bounds. Antwon Blake did not care.
The Bengals running back took a dump pass from Andy Dalton in the closing seconds of the first half and booked it toward the sidelines in hopes of giving them a chance for a last second field goal. It appeared that Bernard would indeed make it out without issue but Steelers cornerback Antwon Blake had no interest in that. Blake demolished him with a perfectly legal, yet vicious hit.
