Owners of Both Jamaal Charles and Demaryius Thomas

Owners of both Jamaal Charles and Demaryius Thomas are likely playing in auction and/or keeper leagues and are still likely fuming about their studs’ pathetic Week 1 games.

Both were consensus top three positional players entering the week and both were expected to see the rock a ton. While Demaryius finished with 11 targets, over half were thrown with a Colts DB (usually Greg Toler) draped all over him, leading to a miserable 4-catch, 48-yard Sunday Night Football performance. It was especially devastating as many owners were relying on him to dig them out of reasonable 10 or 15-point Sunday holes.

Those holes were created in part by the Chiefs bizarre playcalling and use of all-world running back Jamaal Charles. I think “Is Jamaal Charles hurt?” was the most searched phrase on Google from 12-3pm CST on Sunday. Charles got a whopping a seven carries and only four targets in the passing game, equating to a meager 34 total yards and not even a whiff of the endzone. Luckily, Andy Reid quickly admitted the blew the game plan and there’s no excuse for only giving his Pro Bowler 11 touches.

Owners of both of these top tier players truly did get screwed on Sunday.
