Sometimes, Eli Manning throws some interceptions that seem to make little sense. For every David Tyree helmet-catch that Manning manufactures out of thin-air, there are ten to fifteen passes that Manning forces into areas which the defense punishes.

However, this interception by Manning is pretty understandable. When you have speedy wide receiver Odell Beckahm Jr. being covered by a linebacker (and a backup linebacker at that), it’s a match up that one should want to exploit every time. Unfortunately for Eli, the 49ers apparently grow great linebackers in some Silicon Valley lab and Chris Borland came up with an amazing interception in coverage.

The Niners would go onto get a field goal and take their first lead of the game.
