Ed Werder was being interviewed on SportsCenter Friday morning about the possibilities of where Andy Reid may end up coaching next year. During his segment he tossed in a Andy Reid fat joke. “Now I don’t know if it is because Andy Reid may put the plane over its weight limit…”
The joke itself would have been decently funny, and good for an early morning chuckle, but Werder’s delivery was fumbled. “A” for effort, “F” for execution.
Werder knew the joke was a low blow, so he apologized via Twitter shortly after.
Bad attempt at humor on earlier SportsCenter. I know better & I’m sorry. Apologies to Andy Reid. Back to football news. Lots to cover
