The St. Louis Rams and Philadelphia Eagles are reportedly “close” to trading Sam Bradford for Nick Foles and some draft picks.
Although there’s nothing concrete yet, NFL omniscient seer Adam Schefter broke the news on Twitter.
Filed to ESPN: Rams close to trading QB Sam Bradford to Philadelphia for Nick Foles and draft-pick compensation, per sources.

If the trade does happen, it will represent a complete overhaul of the Eagles offense. The team got traded away LeSean McCoy and are likely letting Jeremy Maclin walk away in free agency. The Eagles would also be trading away a guy who broke his collarbone last season for a guy who has torn his ACL in each of the past two seasons.
Bradford is in the final year of his contract, so it’s not like the Eagles would be committed to him if the trade does happen. As for Foles, he would probably contend for the Rams’ starting quarterback position.
The NFL offseason has just begun and we’ve already reached peak-crazy.
