The Eagles let it be known that they were going to introduce some innovative signs to signal plays as part of their high-paced, no-huddle offense, but I don’t think anyone knew it would be taken this far. Among their various forms of signage, the Eagles used flash cards of Elvis and Rocky, oh yeah, and this guy, the Philly Phanatic:
Seems like it’s all part of the plan to fool the defense and broaden their fan base at the same time. We have to wonder if this will be a trend that catches on around the NFL, and how far will teams go with the creativity of their signs?
