Donald Trump reportedly fumed about reports that Joe Biden, his chief political rival, was courting the endorsement of Taylor Swift.
The pop icon supported Biden in the 2020 election and is currently dating Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce.
On Sunday night, with Kelce and Swift celebrating the Chiefs’ overtime victory in Super Bowl LVIII against the San Francisco 49ers, Trump took to Truth Social to send a bold message to the couple.
“I signed and was responsible for the Music Modernization Act for Taylor Swift and all other Musical Artists. Joe Biden didn’t do anything for Taylor, and never will,” Trump wrote.
“There’s no way she could endorse Crooked Joe Biden, the worst and most corrupt President in the History of our Country, and be disloyal to the man who made her so much money. Besides that, I like her boyfriend, Travis, even though he may be a Liberal, and probably can’t stand me!”
Swift and Kelce, for their part, didn’t immediately respond to the overture from Trump.
Trump, however, currently leads former South Carolina governor Nikki Haley by a substantial margin for the Republican Party’s 2024 presidential nomination.
The expected Biden-Trump rematch is expected to be a tight contest, and Swift’s endorsement could prove pivotal.
