Former Miami Dolphins head coach Don Shula only had to say one nine letter word but it was enough to carry heavy waves across the football community. Shula, who led the Dolphins to the only perfect season in NFL history with a 16-0 mark in 1972 was asked about Bill Belichick during a brief interview with Dan Hyde of the Sun-Sentinel. During the conversation that was conducted to honor Shula on his 85th birthday this week, Hyde brought up the 3-time Super Bowl winning Patriots head coach, to which Shula responded:
Beli-cheat?
The remarks are not stunning because yes, Belichick and the Patriots did cheat during the Spygate fiasco. They very clearly show how one current Hall of Famer feels about one future Hall of Famer.
