Sean Payton is heading into his second season as the head coach of the Denver Broncos after a somewhat disappointing debut season with the team. But it sounds like he’s heading into this week with a lot of confidence
During a recent appearance on Denver Sports 104.3 The Fan, Denver Broncos linebacker Jonas Griffith made it clear that he thinks head coach Sean Payton is “very confident” in the team heading into this upcoming season, and he has expressed that confidence to his team throughout the offseason.
“I think he’s very confident in the team this year,” Griffith said according to Pro Football Talk. “We’re going to surprise a lot of people. He talks about it a lot to us, too. He’s like, Hey, you know — real comfortable with the guys this year. And we’re ready to go. Got a lot of work to do still, but we’re ready.”
Obviously, the Broncos made a pretty significant change at quarterback as they parted ways with Russell Wilson during the offseason and will move forward with either Bo Nix, Jarrett Stidham, or Zach Wilson as their starter this season.
Regardless of who ultimately starts for the team, it sounds like Payton and the Broncos are confident.
