It looks like Revis Island will be relocating back to the Big Apple next season.
According to a tweet from his agents, Darrelle Revis has agreed to a deal that will reunite him with the New York Jets, who drafted the cornerback back in 2007. Revis played with the Jets until 2012, when he was traded to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Revis was an instrumental part of the Patriots Super Bowl team last season, the cornerback’s first in New England. The Pats declined Revis’ $20 million option prior to the opening of free agency on Tuesday – allowing him to explore the open market – but reportedly wanted to keep him in Foxboro. According to various reports, the Patriots weren’t willing to offer enough guaranteed money for him to stick around.

Does this signal a shifting of powers in the AFC East? Probably not, but it’s still a pretty big win for the Jets.
