The Washington Commanders pulled off the biggest upset of the playoffs thus far when they walked into Detroit and defeated the Detroit Lions in the divisional round of the NFC playoffs.
Unfortunately, while rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels shined in the game, his job is going to get a lot harder moving forward, according to one prominent NFL insider.
“Commanders HC Dan Quinn said OL Sam Cosmi tore his ACL and is out for the season,” reported ESPN’s Adam Schefter after the Commanders’ victory.

Fans reacted to the news on social media.
“The commanders will work it out. They are prepared for the adverse moments. They need to really start looking at defensive players, who target players knees, and start fining them,” one fan wrote on Twitter.
“Not surprised.. that looked like the Ronnie Stanley injury,” one fan added.
“Tough loss for the Commanders. Hope Cosmi recovers quickly,” added another fan.
“That’s brutal probably means he’s out for most of next year too,” wrote someone else.
“Huge for next weeks game. He’s their best OL and responsible for blocking Jalen Carter,” added one fan.
It’ll be interesting to see how Daniels and the Commanders pivot after the loss of their breakout star on the offensive line.
