Chad Johnson – or the wide receiver formerly known as “Ochocinco” – hasn’t played a game of professional football since being cut by the Dolphins prior to the 2012 season, but he’s about to get started on a comeback attempt after signing a deal with the CFL’s Montreal Alouettes on Thursday.
Johnson – who has most recently worked as an NFL analyst for CBS Sports – tried out for the team at their minicamp in Vero Beach this week and, apparently, the brass liked what they saw.
It looks like his career with the Alouettes is off to a blazing hot start.
No practice today for Chad Johnson with the #Alouettes because of a sore groin.
