Dallas Cowboys superstar wide receiver CeeDee Lamb is heading into the final year of his rookie contract and has not yet received a new contract with the team, or even real talks about a new contract. As a result, it sounds like Lamb has no interest in taking part in the team’s voluntary offseason program.
According to a report from Clarence Hill Jr. of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, CeeDee Lamb has decided that he will not be participating in the offseason program as a result of his contract situation with the team.
“WR CeeDee Lamb is not participating in the Cowboys offseason program. Per a source with knowledge of the negotiations or lack there of on a contract extension, ‘why would he'” Hill said in a post on X, the social media website that was formerly known as Twitter.
Lamb is quite clearly upset with the current status of his contract with the Cowboys. While he will not be participating in the voluntary offseason program, the next question will be whether or not he decides to continue to hold out when the team begins its mandatory minicamp in early June.
It’s certainly an interesting situation that fans will be following closely.
