Bryce Young did not have the season many hoped or expected after he was selected with the No. 1 overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft by the Carolina Panthers. But it sounds like he is putting together a strong offseason that is impressing the team’s wide receivers.
As the Carolina Panther begin OTAs, the team’s wide receivers have had some high praise for Bryce Young for the way he has performed so far.
“He’s a great quarterback,” Panthers wide receiver Diontae Johnson said according to ESPN. “Accurate. Smart. He knows how to get his guys in position. Whenever we’re out there, you can always count on him to get us in the right spot and make sure everybody knows what they’re doing.”
Carolina Panthers tight end Tommy Tremble also pointed out that Young looks more confident this offseason than the way he looked last offseason.
“He’s throwing the ball with confidence,” he said. “He’s not worried about a thousand things like last year. . . . So you can see that swag confidence. It’s exciting, man.”
Obviously, Young shows promise – that’s why the Panthers traded up to select him with the No. 1 overall pick. We’ll have to see if he lives up to that promise this season.
